SxS 450 400 Nitro Express or 375 H&H double rifle with beautiful extra fancy walnut.
Fine O/U 375 H&H. Finely finished blued or SS 12" 357 mag levergun, probably Browning-designed. Turn bolt .358 or .375 BR with integral suppressor. 1886 in 50 Alaskan. Redhawk with a grip that fits in something over 40 caliber. I guess that last one is a pipe dream.
Let's go Brandon!
A Spencer carbine chanbered in 357 Mag
A slightly scaled up Remington 581 type bolt action rifle in .45 ACP that uses.......1911 magazines.
A right handed bolt left handed ejection port lightweight single shot 7mm Rem Mag with trim walnut stock.
I have had many rifles I thought would be neat to have. In the end I wound up with a few .223’s and .308’s as the backbone of my little arsenal. Mundane but practical and do everything I need doing.

I built a rifle I wanted for every thing from deer to who knows what, I do like the 7mm Rem. Mag. but have no use for a bullet over 150gr in it, So starting with a CZ24 action I built a .280 Rem. AI Nosler, it gives me good range for most hunting, enough power to kill any thing in the lower 48 states. Alaska with the exception of the big coastal brown bear. .280 Ammo can be found most any where on the world African plains game would not be out of the question,
Howdy -
A 25" barrelled .250-3000 bolt rifle, w/ twist to handle bullets up to 110gr.
Would accomodate light .25 cal varmint bullets like 75HPs, and on up to the heavier 110s.
Varmint rifle, predator rifle, hog rifle, sheep eatin' dog rifle, kids first rifle; rifle for an average frame female shooter/hunter. Take your pick.
Former Ruger M-77 " Red Butt " .250-3000s from the mid-latter -70s were offered in 22" or 24" barrel length. Could be an updated version of that, w/ the 25" barrel providing a boost in velocity over the other barrel lengths mentioned.
Could also be made using a Rem 700, M-788, Ruger American, Savage Axis; and similar. An action that has good trigger pull weights offered, even if as an aftermarket product.
Use a removable single shot feed ramp, to preserve magazine fed capability; when performing as a varmint rifle on groundhog.

Swedish rolling block with heavy octagon or round barrel in 44 special. Or one of my BSA 22rf martini's in 32-20. Frank
Im going to do a Winchester Low Wall in 32S&W Long or 32 H&R Mag with .308 BBL.
A 5 screw Smith & Wesson M27 with a 6 1/2" bbl.
And it would have Long Cylinder to accept the #358429 crimped in the crimp groove And NOT over the front band.
A Pre-64 Featherweight Short-Action switch barrel in .358Win, .300Sav and .250Sav Imp.
And a Long-Action version .257Roberts and .270Win.
And a Magnum version in .300H&H, .375Weatherby.
For the Shotgun a Gas Operated Auto-5 in 12ga 3" with Briley chokes that will also operate with powder puff loads.
For REAL DREAM Guns;
Colt SAA, D-Engraved in .44-40 7 1/2" bbl with one piece ivory grips carved with the old family brand. The box S.
A companion 1873 1 of 1,000, 26" Octagon bbl Fully engraved in .44-40 straight stock shotgun butt. Feather crotch stock.
And an El Paso Saddlery Rig, fully carved and edge laced.

I've thought about a switch barrel, 308 for cast and j words, maybe 6.5 something, right now it is chambered in 20 tac, it is a savage, and it has been blue printed, you can get all the barrels you want for savages, but not to many stocks available, they are an ugly gun, but I sure like them!
falling block with quick change barrels would be my choice. Next up the pipe dream. Something with an adjustable chamber for length and caliber barrel should be octagonal with removeable rounded inserts to go to round barrel the only problem I'm having is barrel length which obviously will need to match adjustable chamber bore. Darn all how is it that the asperly has not been returned to production with this kind of demand?
Nothing all that special, but a Carcano carbine converted to 7.62x39. If possible with a standard SKS magazine instead of an AK magazine.
Not quite. The 9.3 X 75R Nimrod IS NOT the 9.3 X 74R. The 9.3 X 75R Nimrod was a proprietary cartridge by Thieme & Schlegelmilch from about 1905 until about the end of WWI. It shoots a 200 gr. bullet at about 2100-2200 fps. I load mine to 1700 - 1800 fps in deference to its age. Still, the question was "all around". That's as all around as I need for where I hunt and what I hunt for these days. ALL drillings are fun!

I've built lots of rifles. Some were scratch builds, plus lots of large and small ring Mausers. The build that I'm looking forward to the most is one that I've already collected almost all the parts for: a rifle based on a P1914 action in caliber 9.5x57 Mannlicher-Schoenaur. (also called the 375 Rimless Nitro Express) I'm going to fit a M1917 bolt, magazine box & follower to the P14 action. I already have the barrel and stock blanks, the chambering reamer & gauges, the reloading dies, Timney trigger, and all the action parts. The only thing that's holding me back is finishing the two Mauser 98 builds that are already in progress first, (a 6.5x55 and a 257 Roberts). After a few years I'll have built out and sporterized all of the milsurp bolt actions that I've collected through the years. Once these rifles are completed I plan on machining single shot falling block actions from scratch. Hopefully I'll continue building rifles for the rest of my life. Maybe some other rifle will call to me like an obsession later, but for now it's the P14 in 9.5x57 MS.
