Rock River Arms two stage.
I'll add to the bakers dozen of choices. I have a Velociy trigger in my 80% and like it a lot. Its a 22" varmint/ target setup.
On a beater or HD gun, I'll use a tuned factory set or a two stage Rock River. Personally, I don't like a light ( below 3-4#) pull on a semi auto.

Sorry for being gone so long, guys.
The holidays were like something out of a movie.
Looks like Texas by God has me fixed up.... Thanks, all

Any drop in will be better than the standard trigger. The enhanced style parts can be hit or miss in my experience, with some being all right and some not being any different than stock.
I'm going to throw out what most will probably scoff at: The Forma Tactical drop in adjustable. https://www.formatactical.com/produc...-trigger-group
I have CMC's, a Geissele SSE-A, a Del-Ton 2 stage (nearly as good as the Geissele at less than half the price), as well as several of the enhanced mil-spec style, and it would put the Hammerhead trigger up against any of them. They're typically on sale for about $70, but I've picked them up for $50 off their email blasts.
Save your self a lot of disappointment, prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise, Geissele.

I have the Ruger and a Velocity 3lb(drop-in). Both are great improvements over the 'standard' triggers. I have not fired more than a thousand rounds through either rifle, a Mossberg Heavy Barrel(Ruger) and my wife's Bushmaster 'zombie' gun(Velocity). Installation is simple for either.
I like the CMC drop ins BUT 5 minutes with some 800 grit sandpaper and new JP Springs will seripusly improve a mil spec trigger
The ALG ACT as has been said already is a good trigger for the money.
I've built a few rifles for different people, have had good experience with Rise drop in. Just my opinion.
Call me a little uneducated on triggers, but why would you pay the price of a nice upper for a fancy drop-in trigger? I can obviously tell the difference between a good or not very good trigger, but why would you drop such a high price on a component of a rifle?

Bringing this thread back to the surface for an update!
Called Trinity Ordnance in Lake Worth Texas. "sure! Bring your lower to us, we will charge, maybe 1/2 hour labor,$30-40."
Took it to them, they said maybe 2 weeks. Had it back in a week and it is SWEET!!! Cost me $35!
I highly recommend Trinity Ordnance! Good bunch of guys, won't try to snake oil you!

Glad they took care of you, Mike. I like drooling over the twin MG42 anti aircraft setup, the Borchardt carbine, the Star machine pistol, and the other historical guns on display. And they'll do FFL transfers for $20.

I know! I have never seen that many MG42's in one place!
At the moment the Highway Dept. is making getting to their shop an effort, but it is worth the trip.
