was the rolling block RIFLE ever offered in 30-40 KRAG ?
Pretty rare - But I have seen one for sale in the last 20+ years from Bill Goodman's Guns. His rundown was US military - very limited production
Being human is not for sissies.
Doing a search, Wickopidia has a long list of chamberings for the Remington rolling block. 30-40 Krag is on it. Even lists the 30.06.

About 20yrs ago I purchased a 30/40 RB at auction. It was a carbine, had Naval motif on top of reciever. It wasn’t marked with any letters or initials. The opinion was that it was from a Naval Cadet school of some type.
The #5 was offered in .30 Army( 30-40 Krag) and 7.65 Mauser and .303 British and many others but the vast majority seem to be in 7mm Mauser.

If it wasn't it should have been!

They were NOT just military rifles. The #5 Sporting rifles were offered in .30-40 Krag also. They were also advertised as being offered in .30-30 and 7mm Mauser too. This was in 1898 advertisements for the new smokeless Sporting Rifles.
In 1902 ads they added .32 Winchester Special, .32-40 High Pressure, .38-55 High Pressure, and .303 British.
At this time Remington was desperately trying to keep the rolling Blocks viable, and sell them to a customer base that was gradually looking at bolt action rifles as the next great Sporting option. So adding calibers that people were clamoring for was a way to get a little more sales to the sporting market.
I have a #5 in 30-40 krag. Barrel is marked on bottom ahead of forearm 30 Govt. Odd bit of timing on this post, found this 3 years ago last month.
Gun control 1ST ROUND ON TARGET.
