Hahndorf1874, I was indeed using it for reduced loads. I did initially use a semi-bulk filler to ensure proper burn. I seem to remember getting unburnt (or partially burnt) kernel's left behind in the barrel with too low a charge.

748 is about the perfect powder for 30/30
Yep, as others have said, 748 is a great, versatile powder. I like it in .223, 30-30, 35 Rem, and it's fantastic in my Garand.
I need more!
Semper Fi.
Use it in 223, 243 and 30/06 with J bullets, have not tried it with cast. Did notice that I had the occasional delay with standard primers but switched to mag primers and problem went away. As noted it meters beautifully and does not tend to bridge like some stick powders when loading in smaller cases like 223 and 243.
I very much like it for a cool or cold weather powder for full charge loads with jacketed bullets in the .223. If an AR15 will not shoot well with a 52gr match bullet, this powder, a CCI small rifle primer, in a LC case, it won't shoot well with anything. All that being said, it gets pressure spikes in hot weather.
