    50 rb

Has anyone tried a .50 RB in a smokeless case?

I was just thinking that rb's have been successfully used in cases like the 45acp and .308 win, so why not in something like .500S&W, .50AE, .50BEO etc. etc.

The problem with that is the .50 caliber round balls are .490"/.495" diameter- too small. If you could find .503" or so that would work.

No 50, but 45 yes. Great fun. I think a try with the smaller ball, bumped larger in a sizing die which would make the ball larger around the circumference. You could also try layering PC on thick and that might work

Yep, have a 50 cal mould that casts @.501-.502". Slather some LLA on and let dry, then load for my 50AE BFR. Works well.

IIRC, the mold came from Track of the Wolf

I'm not familiar with the catridge you are loading (I don't shoot it) but you are basically creating a "gallery load" and it's certainly feasible. With any "gallery load" (round ball) don't hotrod them as the contact area is much less than a traditional conical design and if pushed too hard, the RB will "jump the rifling". Lower velocities should work fine.
