    An hour well spent

My wife told me to shoot guns while she went to pick up supper.
Threaten me with a good time anyway, this was at 40 yards. I think the sun over my shoulder made me pull the iron sighted guns left.
The sub sandwiches were good, too.

Don't you just hate it when the wife says go shooting!
Those who choose violence as a first option are typically confronted by somebody else using violence as a last resort.

    Good going.

Maybe next time you'll figure out how to spend all afternoon out there.

W748 is one of my favorite powders for .35 Rem as well as 30-30.

    Good shootin’!

The 30-30 (Mauser 1916 action) has a 6x scope, the Topper 44-40 and the 510 Rem. are iron sighted. That bottom group measures .19"- I was grinning from ear to ear.

The past four years or so, I've been shooting much, much more than any other time of my life and I have come to enjoy shooting just for the sake of shooting more. When range time was limited, it seems I was always testing this or that or trying this or that with some hunting or accuracy goal in mind. Now, I tend to shoot whatever suits me for that day.

Good groups there. Never used 748, I've usually stuck to the IMR extruded powders and I doubt a guy could get much better than 3031, but might have to try it someday.

I’ll blame it on the ammo too but it was getting hard to see the green dot, next time I’ll shoot the .22 first. A man’s sandwich is a personal thing although if I’m at a nice restaurant with a beautiful plate of food- I send a pic to my kids to taunt them.
