    Speckled "Zombie Bullets" - Method

My son saw a picture of some of the zombie killer bullets, green with red speckled, green and black, etc. He wants me to make him some in 38 Spl. How do you go about getting that pattern? PC with a base color and bake, then dust the next color and re bake? Or coat with base coat, then dust with second color and bake once?

Or use two distinctly diff powder types. When I add HF red to my JD green from smoke, they come out mottled, you can see the red flakes. They just melt diff together.

since i use crosslock tweezers to pick the freshly shaked boolits from the base powder i then dip the nose in another fun color such as smokes yellow green and smokes traffic purple then bake. or for example smokes jet black and smokes traffic white mixed one to one makes a grey speckle like grannite. yep i shoot rocks lol.

I dip a Q-tip in powder and tap it with my finger to dust the tips.Click image for larger version.

or you can blend different PC's

    .

Another way is to bake the boolits until the PC flows, pull out the pan and sprinkle them.

It all depends on the effect you want

I have tumbled green and then dipped the tips in red in the past. You can always tumble in green and then bounce in a separate container with a little red residual.

Here’s some I mixed with purple and black today. I bounced off the excess build up in another container after tumbling. The extra container that I thought I had all the blue out of apparently I didn’t. It doesn’t take much as you can see the blue speckles of these bullets that I thought that was Absolutely none on the container.

    Here are some others...

I didn’t save any of the green with red tipped ones just because they looked so ugly.

That’s a good question. I’ll have to look in my boolit boxes to see if they are still around. I’m sure I posted pics of them here a few years back. They were green with red tips. Looked like blood dripping down them.

Found them. I dipped the tops in red after I tumbled green. This was approximately my 2nd or 3rd time PCing so I didn’t have my mojo down yet. Massive HF build up by dipping the tops. These were boolit rejects I was experimenting with colors. As you can see the bases were never filled out. I’m sure if I ever sized them they would be good w/o GCs along with some trail boss for plinking at close range. I’m sure they’ll just be melted some day in smelting pot.
