(I think, therefore I'm armed.)
Thought I'd put up another Metallic II pic. It didn't have the small primer feed parts and its an older version so I used a old Lyman primer tube with a homemade brass bushing/tube holder. Works great. This is a old bench modified with plywood socket and plate for mounting the press. I know, its cluttered but my life is cluttered. Situation normal.... I bought the old press as sort of a novelty but its turned out to be very useful.
Never seen one before. Very interesting, do you run it as a progressive? Neat press.
Not a progressive, more like a 4 station turret. The shell holder is moved from station to station with the black knob. Its easy to see whats going on with the open front. I made the short operating handle with 8 ball as the original handle is longer than I needed. I'd never buy one new (still available, $575.00) but this older one was cheap enough so it came home with me. Like I needed another press....
Shot some photos of other things for other post this morning. Remember seeing this thread and shot a photo of my setup. Not anything great but I only load one cartage here at home. Everything else loaded at a friends house. He has all the progressive stuff. He needs to have it for our shooting addiction. We went through over 1000 shells yesterday.
So here is my setup. 45-70 only with real black powder.
It’s a Ponsness Warren. They make presses that are in my opinion on par with Dillon for quality. l own one for 20/12 gauge shot shells and a friend has a 12 gauge progressive. I agree with Blindshooter that they’re spendy for what is essentially a turret press for metallic cartridges but for shotgun shells they rock.

All these setups are amazing!

Some dies..
Drawers and such come in handy.
Wet tumbler, scale with ferrite choke and clean power supply. My ultra trick ramen box keeps the drafts at bay.
Only missing casting equip, piecing it together now...
Dieter, you might want to re-think the location of your tumbler. I did as a result of this thread:

With regards to gun control in this country, everyone should be asking themselves one question:
What is it that this government feels they need to do, but can't do, unless the citizens of this nation are first disarmed?
(I seriously doubt you can come up with any plausible answers that you will like...)

Not much room for a pooch here -- kind of cramped, but the "plus" is that everything is most conveniently close at hand !Attachment 241012
My two stock dogs are like sentries posting watch outside my cave because it is also too crowded for one much less a second one. In most weather they tend to wander back outside the barn the cave is in and tempt me to quit loading in favor of going coyote hunting by making periodic announcements of their passing through.
I get the feeling that our border collie and her half heeler partner are not above adding flavor to those announcements by throwing a false alarm in just to get me out for a look see? It serves a double purpose for me to look as my legs need stretching and there is always a bush that can stand “fire proofing” just outside LOL!
Lots of great ideas here in this long productive thread. Kudos and thanks to all who have contributed to it lately!

Here is a picture of my reloading "man cave". I started around 3 years ago. I knew nothing when I started but I'm learning everyday! I can reload .38/.357, .45 ACP, and .30-30 Winchester.
