First time I've seen that touchmark too.
Not sure if these have been posted. Then mug is a big 'un, part of a set of eight with weights from 14 to 16 1/2 ounces.

Oops, I think I'm over my limit. I intermittently see the pix on my iPad, but other times just the code. Anybody else seeing images?

No, I'm not seeing the image and the attachment is not working either.
Same for me.
I found some plain plates with no hallmarks, but they scratched with my fingernail, and bent easily. They have a label saying “Made in Holland”. They are really heavy, too. I’m tempted to go back tomorrow and get them.
Some European pewter may say ZINN == tin in German
It says absolutely nothing. I guess I’ll buy one and acid test it. If it passes, I’ll get them all.
Usually stuff made in Holland is VERY good. If they are that soft and have a shiny surface (low to no lead content) then I'd but them if the price is right. If they have a flat bottom, the touchmark may have wore off. I've never seen a Dutch touchmark near the rim or edge. If it is lower quality pewter, like ley pewter or antique, it may have some lead and have a gray or dark finish. Still has tin but down to as little as 60%. At $3-4/lb I'd go for it.
It has a dark patina, but it’s very shiny where it’s scratched. The metal is very soft, almost like lead. I’ve scored a lot of pewter at this store lately, but this is much heavier than anything else I’ve seen. A lead/tin alloy would make sense.
ZINN = Tin --- 95% german tin. 14 oz for $5
My first pewter score. I paid $8.50 for all. Weighs 6lbs. Not sure if I want to melt those two plates.

Under a buck fifty a pound for that amount is a great score, whether you melt them or not.
If you aren’t going to melt stuff like those plates, you’re going to wind up with a pretty big pile of dust catchers.

Many pewter items can be sold for more $$$ to buy more pewter.

I got me some stuff. Dependent on where I went was dependent on price. Middle of nowhere Virginia it was cheap. Thrift store stuff you know. Go to Williamsburg area where you have high traffic of tourist and renactors and your 1 dollar stuff turned into 6 dollar stuff.
Picked up some more that I'm pretty sure I'll have to melt when the wife is at work. I have clearance to melt about 25% of what I "own" at this point.
I've tried explaining that there's a sort of conveyor belt hauling it all towards the melting pot. The more I have, the farther back the "cool" stuff gets pushed. I feel like she might be buying that...so far. It's early in the game though.
1.2 lbs (not including the glass chimney) for $4. Not great. But not bad either.
