So the slot in the back is for a screwdriver bit?
I can see that being handy.
Looks good!
What a clever idea with the tool bit in the handle. You do nice work.
That is pretty dang nice. Good job
excellent design especially with tool holder in handle
Nice looking bet it will be real handy.
I’m a foreman for an electrical contractor and it seemed I would always be on the roof or somewhere away from my tools and would need to open a panel/ rooftop unit etc. My old one had a flat tip screwdriver built in the tang but sometimes I needed a Phillips. To strip wire with my old one my finger had to set on the back of the blade. Doing this all day would leave my finger a little sore. This one will let me keep my finger on the handle.
I reamed a couple pieces of EMT conduit today without dulling or rolling the edge. I think it will be ok. My old one would ream metal conduit without dulling too bad and I was hoping this one would also.

I could use one if you ever decide to monetize your hobby. A sheath with bit holders would be awesome as well. Very nice work on your work knife; I’m impressed
Looks awesome, what steel did you use?
It’s a lawn mower blade. Quenched in water and not drawn back. Ive made several out of these and all have been good knives.
As much work that goes into one it’s kinda silly to use a mystery metal. But I’ve had good luck with blades. Took a bit to learn what they needed quench wise.
A piece of O1 the right thickness and width would save a lot of heatin and beatin but I’ve always liked repurposeing stuff.

Nice work, like the bit in the handle, great idea.

Bet it would make a good boning knife as well. Nicely done.
Great work. I would be worried about ripping my wrist on the screwdriver bit. I used to keep a “John Wayne”/P-38 can opener on my keychain, but I kept ripping open my wrist on it.

I thought I might have trouble hitting the screwdriver with my wrist but no problems yet. Ive used it far more than I expected to just because it’s handy.
My plan was to carry the bit in my watch pocket if need be. But so far no need

Very nice. Necessity is truly the mother of invention.
Nicely Done ! Good Job.
The screwdriver bit is an outstanding touch.
I don't know the composition of a lawn mower blade but that would seem to me to be an excellent source for a blade. A little flexible but with the ability to hold an edge.
