Same in Colorado. We just don't know what rust is. Cars, tools, guns, nothing rusts.

If you hate humidity, do NOT move anywhere near Seattle / Everett / Tacoma
I'm a fan of the the plywood socket and insert setup. Cheap and very easy to make more when needed and the blank does make for a clear bench top when needed. I have 3 different height benches with the the socket/insert setup. My shop would be all bench covered in bolted down tools without some system like this.
Yeah, central New York is pretty high on the humidity scale. I keep rechargeable moisture absorbers in with all my ammo, guns never really rust in the safe.
lovin' this thread...y'alls benches are too clean & tidy
Here's mine in a humid West Houston garage...

I love the bottle of Cuervo under the bench
My basement is not the issue. There’s a dehumidifier that can run year round if need be. My issue is a detached non climate controlled garage. If literally rains inside during the swing seasons. If it’s been cold and everything inside is cold and we get a warm day I can’t open any of the doors. Everything inside is below dewpoint and has condensation on it. Opening the doors makes the concrete floor look like a river. Keeping rust at bay in there is an exercise in futility.
I really need to move everything inside but I don’t have the room. It’s a block building shared w/ a neighbor who doesn’t maintain his property. So there’s no way for me to seal it up. Can’t run a dehumidifier as it will run constantly during the warmer months and freeze up this time of year. I need to move
I feel really fortunate to have always had my reloading stuff inside. When we built this house I had the plans drawn with a room for me. Its only 7ft X 10ft, just about right for one person but a little close for two.
Wow! That looks almost like my old shop!!

My Reloading bench was the most perfect setup.
Now I just shove junk around to work on the RockChucker on one side and the Hornady Progressive on the other. I cast on the patio picnic table . Have my Lube-Sizer set up there too.
I have my LYMAN powered case trimmer set up on a small (very heavy base) old kitchen table. With the Lyman case Express set up behind it, I can process a case every 10seconds or less.
Trim, deburr/chamfer, clean primer pockets. And ream if needed.
I don't think too many can beat that. But I can only do about 100, maybe 200 at a time. My arthritis won't let me do any more.
But today I sized/decapped a 100 .32acp & a 100 .32 Short & wimpy. Then cleaned the primer pockets while watching TV.
Now I just have to size some PC'ed little .32 bullets to load in them.
Lee sizers arrived tonight.
Gotta Love the,
U.S.P.S. - just drop stuff on your porch anyhour of the day or night, can't even bother to put it into the BIG Mailbox. Or even ring the doorbell at 2100hrs.
I HATE auto-correct
Happiness is a Warm GUN & more ammo to shoot in it.

As for the moisture ? I have found if you leave a fan running in the shops the moving air helps. One of my shops with the temp swings we have in my area sometimes my heavy metal items will sweat so bad water will drip off of them but with a fan running 24/7 I do not have that problem.
Reloading to save money I am sure the saving is going to start soon
Here is my bench. There are a number like it since the plans are widely available online. I've been very happy with it. I am contemplating building a second so that I can double my bench space. People make fun of me for keeping it clean and tidy like this. I put everything away and wipe it down at the end of the day.
A little strip magnet to keep all the tools needed for dies and adjustments.
Nice bench Tater. Since my bench is clean I won't make fun of you.
That RCBS on the left, is that a progressive? I use a Piggyback and an Ammomaster and love them.
