My turkey/home defense shotgun turned out better, IMHO...

I think they look great! How about a short lesson on how it is done?
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!
No magic involved...
I just wipe it down with the Windex vinegar blend, tape off anything I don't want painted, then apply a base coat of what I want the primary color to be. In this case it was OD Green. I use Krylon Camo paint .

Then I go out in the yard and look for leaves that I want to pattern on the rifle...

Then I just start trying to use a balance of the colors I want on all areas of the rifle, holding different leaves against the base coat and giving quick bursts of paint.
Since I will be carrying this thing in such a wide variety of terrain and vegetation types, I incorporated four different colors on it and it doesn't look quite as cool as others I've done. But it still works.
I don't care how well it holds up since it is basically a free camo job and I can change it whenever I get a wild hair. But my Bushmaster was done in `99 and it still looks good.

I did that to an old "Bubba"-ed mauser. Only i cut out the camel from a pack of cigarettes and called it camelflauge.

Oh, I have some beautiful custom stocks that cost more than all of my ARs combined, but wood shrinks, then expands, and gets damaged easily in the woods.
It's beautiful, but inefficient...

I think your AR looks great. Gonna do my 6.5 Grendel pretty soon. Hope it turns out as good as yours.
Nice gun pics!
I do like the Winter Twig, White with black twigs running through.

I've painted all my plastic stocks, dont know why gunmakers have to take a model T approach to it. Would it really hurt to offer two or three different colors?

Yea I too have taken a painting bug here lately. I use the mesh laundry bag method.
Yeah, those turn out very nice!
Mine really are more functional than aesthetic, so good ol' leaves and branches still do the job.
Got my optic in and now just waiting on the sling to arrive before declaring it ready for duty...
