Ruger American compact rifle in 7.62x39

Bought the rifle mentioned above and was looking for suggestions for a good scope preferably 10 or higher with a 40mm front bell. SWFA has a 10x but didn't see wether the front bell is 40mm. So any help and or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Frank

vortex has bee good to me. good price for a good product. try optics planet . com. they have hundreds of scope to peruse.

Mueller Optics have been a great cross of midrange price and upper end features for me. Ive also been known to use cheaper BSA Sweet 22 scopes on my 22lrs without issue. YMMV.

Sparky, think a 50mm front bell will contact the barrel. I'm using medium Burris zee rings weaver style on the ruger. Most of my scopes with one exception are all 40mm. Frank

I have the scope on my Ruger American with low Leupold Rings. Doesn't touch the barrel.

I'm using a Mueller APV on my Ruger American Predator . 4.5-14x40. They are great scopes.
