I'm wondering if any of you members use a suppressor with cast? Do you think BLL would foul one? Or can they be fouled?
Instead of buying another rifle I think I'll put the money into buying a noise limiter.

I own both a 9mm full auto rated suppressor and a 22 LR suppressor. I shoot jacketed slugs through the 9mm, but it can also be utilized for the 300 BLK with subsonic loads. I shoot a plain base 300 blk slug. Both of the suppressors can be disassembled for cleaning...…….I generally soak them in Ed's Red prior to a little
brushing. Both are monocore designs so there aren't any baffles to mess with.

most current production cans can be taken apart.
If you were to purchase one make sure that it can be taken apart.
I have a Sidewinder 45acp pistol can.
I use it not only for shooting 45 acp out of my pistols (1911 and FN FNP tatical) but I also use it on my UMP 40 S&W rifle.
All is cast.
I take it apart and clean it after every range trip.
Haven't noticed any real leading.
Unique powder does make it really dirty on the inside though.......
I use a 22 rf non strippable moderator ,just put it in my sonic cleaner once in a while .my other center fire moderator is strippable ,its a 30 cal but works fine on my 223. Don't leave them on your rifle when not in use.
Interesting information, Thanks. I want to put it on a Gunsite Carbine in 308 Winchester.
I regularly shoot cast and PC'd 500gr .458 SOCOM suppressed, cast and PC'd 300gr .357 Maximum suppressed and they are waaaay cleaner than my 22 suppressor. I dont get any lead buildup with the cast & PC'd rounds, just carbon buildup.
I think if you PC your cast 308 rounds you will be fine.

One I've been looking at is the Liberty "Mystic X" .....its cleaning instructions are....take apart....sand blast core reassemble.
Its a 9mm multi cal can that is designed for up to 300 win mag with barrel length restrictions on some calibers.

If I were to get one specifically for shooting cast I'd want to be able to take it apart.
My rimfire can gets filthy and I just put the baffle stack in my stainless steel wet tumbler. My 30 caliber is sealed and won't shoot cast through it even powder coated mostly because it goes on my long range precision rifles. I just got a liberty cosmic 45 can approved, it is a take apart and so far hasn't had noticeable build up with lubed 45 or powder coated 9mm. My next can will be the liberty mystic x, mainly because of all of the adapters I have already and for reasons Ben stated.... 9mm through 300 win mag.

Interesting, I'll look a Liberty's site. Thanks
I have an oil filter adapter for my AR. I've never tried cast boolits in it, but the nice thing about it is you can throw it away and get a new one at your local auto parts store for a few bucks.
That will qualify you for a free room at Club Fed

You can register a oil filter as a can but it can’t be legally replaced unless your a 007 with your sot
Don't like being hammered by the Cast Boolits Staff, then don't be a nail.
The rules are simple to follow.
It always amazes me that people screw around with oil filters and such, pay the transfer tax wait for clearance and never look back...…….just sayin'

Yankee Hill makes a good suppressor and if you mess up your can the first repair/replace is on them yes really its free they are as good as RCBS on warranty.
Most suppressor manufacturers have the same warranty. The guys buying them are fairly limited and the guys building them know word
gets around quick. If you build a trashy product that you don't back you won't be in the suppressor game very long.

I use a Ti-Rant in 9mm. I have shot mostly PC'd cast thru it. It does get dirty but it is easily cleanable. I have used a brass brush and Ed's Red for cleaning. My sub loads are really quiet. The gun action seems louder than the boolit exit. I went Form 4 and it was about 4 1/2 months. Don't be cheap and chance the BATF visiting you.

I will throw out there that the "Mystic X" is actually good up to .358" bullets.....which I plan to use extensively on my bolt action 77/357 mag (evil laugh)
