Lee C430-310 works well in my handi 444
I too mould the Lee 430310 and shoot it from my Ruger Superblackhawk. As a hunting boolit it seems to carry the call. For paper punching I shoot the Lee .429 255 SWC. Accuracy is good and wouldnt be afraid to use it on whitetail at reasonable ranges and within my abilities. It should serve you well in your application also.
In regards to shooting safety.Until you are ready to fire, keep your booger hook off the bang switch.
I like the 310 also, it does very well for me accuracy wise.
It does however eat up the lead.
I not long ago also picked up a 200 gr and 218 gr, both of which shoot great in my .44mag handi rifles but have not yet been tested in the big .444marlin.
If I want to shoot something really really dead at more than 50 yards the H&R in .444marlin is my rifle of choice.
It will do the job, from mild to wild.
I ordered a m&p mold .432 270 grain hollow point that I hope will work well in a 444 and in my 44sbh
I bet a devastator would crush at the higher velocities.
They shoot tight groups at a 100 yards in my 77/44
