I cast some .313" round balls with W-W alloy to try a fun adventure in 32 S&W and also 32 S&W Long. After that I cast a good handful of .447" boolits for a friend's 11x59mmR French Gras rifle. The mold was an antique single cavity I found on ebay that drew little interest. The final price was attractive, considering the prices on brand name molds for that same diameter. The boolits weigh just over 300 grains each, round nose with 3 lube grooves. The bases are slightly rounded going toward the sprue. I could correct this by milling down the top of the block but have elected to leave it original as the mold was very well crafted. No maker's name on the mold, only the rollmark "11" is present, as in 11 mm. The handles are straight and narrow. I added a pair of Lee wood handles to escape heat transfer. They work nicely.
