Okay, I have got the scope on the contender. Some kind person gave me some RCBS boolets and I am ready to go cepting I ain't got loads for a hornet in the contender. I have 231, 296, h322, lil gun and AA2230 on hand. Any suggestions?

In the RCBS manual the smallest caliber listed is the .222 and the data goes to bigger calibers from there. Checking the T/C Contender manual shows data from the Lyman manual which uses their old worn out standard for cast bullets, green dot, unique, or 2400. Not saying these powders won't work, it's just that every caliber in Lymans book shows the same old powders. In Hodgdon's book it shows a top load of 13 gr. of Lil' Gun behind a 45 gr. bullet. I believe yours is heavier than that. My powder of choice is AA1680 in the amount of 10.5 grains behind Lyman's 225415, which casts at 55 gr. with gascheck.
