Help me identify what mould these came from.

I was able to pick able to pick up a bunch of supplies, free, from a generous LEO that was escaping this communist state.

In the supplies, was a box of about 200 of these cast bullets. I'd like to shoot them in my 30 carbine or 30-30 but I would like to figure out the mould first incase my guns like it.

    Diameter ~.309
Weight ~ 105 gr as shown.
    Hollowpoint.

Any other info I can give you to help track it down?

That definitely looks similar. However I cannot find any info on a HP version of it.

.............That looks very much like a Lee C309-113F or the C309-120R. Just like the examples, starting from the base you have the GC, a narrow drive band, lube groove, wider drive band, then a narrow lube groove (or alternatively a crimp groove). Lee boolit chart here: https://leeprecision.com/bullet-cast...-bullet-molds/

When I had my custom machining business I Hp'd boolit moulds, and even did a few Lee moulds, but the Lees I did were the new version with the more normal twin alignment pin setup vs their old "V Grooved" blocks and roll pin setup.

However, for a 30 cal slug of such a light weight, and made to accept a GC a person doesn't have a lot of latitude in placement and widths of either drive bands or lube grooves. That means that most slugs of that OD and weight are probably going to look pretty much like they were hatched out of the same egg, if not laid by the same hen!

It looks like the 311316 except it seems to have a longer gas check shank that almost looks like a lube groove. The 31133HP was the plain base hollow point version,3118 or 311008 was the plain base solid, and 311316 was simply a gas checked 3118.I have an example of each.I used the 31133HP in an M1 carbine for rabbit hunting during the 50's.

    I'm betting it's a 311316.

Found this with a photo. I'm dead sure that this is it.

Now to find a mould, and possibly get it changed to a flat base.

    Thanks all.

If you want the mold in a flat base watch EBay for a Lyman or Ideal 31133HP.I've seen several sell there in the last couple of years. The 311008 could also be converted to HP.

The 311008 makes a very nice shooting bullet in the .30 Carbine when HP'd. Occasionally the flat nose causes feeding problems from the magazine. This is easily corrected by using a #311 top punch (for round nose .38s) when lubing and sizing. This slightly breaks the edge of the flat nose and allows for better feeding./beagle
