    wc844 in the 30/30

    anybody tried wc844 in thier 30/30? i loaded 20rds with 31.5gr wc844,fed mag primer and 150gr round nose jacketed soft point. gonna try them out i will let you know how it goes.

    That is the powder of choice for average outings. Maximum power needs 748, the slowest version of the 335/BLC2 military powders in civilian names. I have yet to hear about 748 speed amongst the 844/846 series. It seems as though powder is made to match 748 with tolerances only made for the fast side. If on the fast side in reality, then the lot is prolly used for the military contracts according to either 844(335) or 846(BLC2) specs. ... felix

    Talking wc844 in 3030

    Hi: I have used 31 gr wc844 with Winchester 150 gr flat nose bullets in Winchester cases in my 1954 mod 94 Winchester... I have loaded up to 33 gr but settled on 31.. Good accuracy and functioning.. Mike
