    Mold ID? Cast bullet with a copper pipe jacket

    Gents,

    Can anyone ID this mold? It's identified as for a .375 H&H, using 3/8" copper pipe as a jacket.

    It it's uniform, that looks like an interesting idea.

    That does look interesting. The sprue plate and other parts of your mold look a lot like NEI molds.

    H&G made a mold back in the day that used coiled copper wire in a similar fashion. that isn't an H&G mold however.

    NEI for sure. They also sold the 3/4 jackets too.

    The big risk there is what happens if the lead core is blown out of the jacket.With a closed half jacket ,no problem.....but there would be few on this forum could tell about jacketed bullets open at both ends,as some cheap brands used to be.
