    6.5 Creedmoor

For those interested in the Creedmoor, I worked up a splendid load using the Lyman 266673 150 grain, 18 grains of IMR 4227, 2.792" overall length, with a slight taper crimp in the size die( decapping stem removed of course). 1750 fps in the Ruger American. There are three of us with the Ruger and all three rifles shoot 1" groups with this load. Came up with quite a few loads with other powders, but this is the best. Lyman #2 or linotype shoot the same sized .266".

Very interesting. I have a Browning X-Bolt HCS that I plan to use next season in my club's cast boolit silhouette match. I worked up a similar load. NOE 140gr. bullet, 18.8grs. IMR4227, ogive length = 2.270. Gives 1795fps and MOA accuracy.
