do you think carnauba blue would be a good lube for a 9.3X62, 286gr, single lube groove boolit, at 2000fps-2200fps out of a 20.5" barrel? does it tend to sling off or stick?

I called and talked to the owner of White Label Lubes and asked him if the blue would be better than the red. I told him that I was using it in a LAM II with a heater and had no problems, no leading.... he said to stay with what is working for me..... but you can call him and ask. Great people and great Lubes !

I'd prefer White Labels NRA 50/50 or 2500+ for that application. No lubrasizer heater needed and they will sling off, especially in colder temps. No criticism of Carnauba red or blue as I have and have used both, they are fine lubes also. Just that I find the NRA 50/50 and 2500+ to work better for me, most 2500+......an excellent all around lube.

ok, then is it true that C blue doesn't neeed a heater, or does it? and is 2500 sticky, after you apply it, does it work well if I applied it to a bunch of boolits and then store them in a jar, or would they stick together? thanks a lot-Travis

Carnauba blue doesn't need a heater. That's what Lar said.

Powdered mica from Midway helps... and I think the carnauba blue maybe sticky, as least more so than the red.

The Blue is supposed to be less tacky than the Red. It is still a soft lube that will end up getting nicked up or pulled out if the bullets are just thrown in a container.
I've been using the carnauba blue on my LAM 2 and it does not need heat. They come out great and not tacky at all. So far it's my favorite.
lablover... I love labs too, my last dog was a lab mix, named him hank the cowdog..really miss him, but anyways, what caliber/boolits/ velocities are you mainly using/shooting at?

Yesterday we had to put down our black lab, she was the far and away the best dog we have ever had. My wife and daughter rescued her from a shelter as a young adult dog and she was all the things Labs are know for and more. She was about 16 human years old and had failing eyesight, hearing and was having trouble with incontinence and could barely get to the standing position. We feel she had a good life as a free range dog on ten acres in the country and she knew the property boundries respecting the other land owners in our area. She was loyal to the end and we will miss her and think about her to our dying days.

God, im so sorry to hear that, nothing I can say can take that hurt away, no dog will ever replace her, but in time you will find another best friend , or as has always been my case they find me. but for now, i'll pray for you, don't worry, I do believe you will meet again in heaven. if heaven is perfect, there has to be dogs there, right! hope you feel better,Travis

45 colt as well as 45 acp. nothing fast at all but it works like a charm..Lubesizer as well as pan lube
On the Labs, we had to put all ours down in the last few years..Pretty depressing, good thing is they all went due to old age. They had a great long life. We went a few months without any and now have 2 labs from the same litter..Both yellow/white. Nice to see the brothers having a blast all day long. I swear they have more rights in our house than I do..LOL
Friends for life for sure. I sure miss the others!
WOW, 16 years is awesome. Sounds like your furry family member had a wonderful life. Thats kind of what happened to ours, 14 years and they started not being able to get up etc. It was sad to see and came on too fast. You do what you have to but it breaks your heart to have to do it!
So sorry for your loss! Just keep those happy days in mind and plenty of pictures. I find myself getting teary even after the years have gone by without them. They sure are part of the Family.
yeah, im sorry for both of your losses, but 14+16 is a long time for a lab to live, mine got cancer, and we had to put him down at 12 years old. my current dog is 5 now, and wandered up to our house just around 1 year of age ( that's what the vet said) since she is a smaller dog, and has some terrier, maybe blue heeler, and pit, im hoping she gets at least 15 or 16 years of good quality life. I call her my heart, because I cant imagine how I could live without her. she is that one dog you get in a lifetime, others will be great im sure, but she will be the one I will always keep with me in life and death. it is planned for us to be cremated and spread together in the mountains

I'm being told I should be using Carnuba Blue in my pinprick pitted 30-40 Krag.
OK !
Everyone talks about it BUT nobody says where to get it. How about some help !
it comes up first in a google custom search.
