    Contract Mauser Info.

    Hi All, I have a few old Mausers and I would like to know when they were made etc.,thanks,Gerry.

    We'd need some information for that. What markings are on them. Photos would really expedite an answer!

    Yep, all markings, particularly those on the receiver ring as well as on the sides of the action. As noted by Gebirgsjaeger, photos will be of great help.

    Could be later, friend of mine has an Israeli Mauser dated to 1946.

    Odds are pretty good there's a date on the front receiver ring; on the top; where it can be seen & read. Kind of a vague postwithout further info. Uluav8r nailed it.

    Thanks to all mostly Chile crest [now covered by scope mounts ] some are r.fam. 1952,1 is Mexico 1946 ,2 are Turks 1935,1937 [maybe re-furbs of 1903 rifles] 1 is very short[maybe for tanker] is there a list ?, Gerry

    It sounds like you have some good Mausers there. You might want to pick up a copy of Olson's Mauser book. The short one is probably a police carbine
    We'd love to see pics. Lots of Mauserheads here.

    Yep, Probably an investment in a Mauser book or two will be worth the price of admission. I guess I'd look on Ebay first and then Amazon.
