I would be very surprised if he would accept an offer of what it is really worth, $300-350 if in great shape. I did not look at it closely.

I like the concept of that press. all three dies in a row, open to the operator. The upright was large enough to keep most slop out of the process. But those linkages were way to spindly to be durable.

I does make the mind want to to improve on it into something very good

Obviously the materials seemed to be second rate and someone cared very little for it.

Are you talking about the Model A in the last part of this discussion or the Frankenpress from the first part?

I dont think they post the actual best price that was excepted.

Ebay just strikes thought the asking price and says that best offer was accepted.

In that case youll never know what was offered.

If it is relabeled and is not really a Hollywood then the buyer on eBay can file an "INAD" case (Item Not As Described) and from what I read, 99/100 times they side with the buyer and the buyer gets their money back. Sometimes buyers abuse this and after they win a case, they send back a box of sand or something heavy and then they keep both. Sad that people resort to this...

All be careful on eBay if selling stuff. I sold a Solid State Disc drive for a computer for $135 and after a month, the buyer disputed the charge and Paypal took back the money from my sale and I am out the hard drive as well as the $135. Not cool at all. (Sorry, rant over...just not cool how some people are).
