Folks,
Just starting to get into Swaging and was wondering, if I don't jacket them, how do you lube them? Likely just Hi-tek or something of the sort?

I have very strict gun control policy; if there's a gun around, I want control of it.

You will have to use lube to form the bullet in your dies. Then clean them good and remove the lube then you can powder coat them or use HI-TEK, I use HI-TEK and after coating them run them thru a size die for proper diameter and load and shoot them. It works great. I will post some pics tonight when I get home.
Here are some HI-TEK coated .500 caliber bullets I made with BT_Sniper swedge dies and Notch die, they are easy to do and coat. I also have re-formed some of them after HI-TEK coating them (the ones with the cup hollowpoint) I have not had a chance to do load development with them but hope to shortly.
I reform a bullet I cast. Before reforming I run them through the lube sizer. A fair portion of the lube remains after reforming. If you go this route, be careful not to exert too much pressure on the die or you will be replacing it. Don't ask how I know.
A vote for anyone other then the conservative candidates is a vote for the liberal candidates.
I'm not 475AR, but it depends on what your swage lube is.
I use a lanolin/castor oil mixture.
Dave Corbin told me to put them in a kitchen strainer and pour hot water over them. I have found this to be sufficient for general swage use, but I bet you will have too much remaining for powder coat.
I have further removed more by boiling the hot rinsed bullets in water with dawn soap. I've also used an organic solvent.
Just for the record, GONRA as had great success using STP Oil Treatment asa lube
for typical gun nut small "punching / cupping / drawing / swaging / cartridge cases sizing" operations.
Can't beat that stuff.....
Also, "TRI-FLOW Clear Synthetic Grease" (available in Bike Shops) is a dynamite case sizing lube.
One tube does at least 1200 .50 BMG "scrap dealer" cases.
Unfortunately Triflow is a petroleum based product
