MP 454-640 HP PB - Opinion?

I am looking at the MP 454-640 HP PB bullet mold. I have not casted for a few years, and want to try a longer nose design for both Blackhawks and M92 & M94 lever guns in .45 Colt

Seems like the length would work fine in the lever guns, but was curious. Also wanted to know what you guys think of this bullet in the various configurations, i.e. solid and various hollow points.

    Thanks
    Greebe

Excellent design. I've shot this boolit a great deal from both ruger 45 Colts to Rossi lever actions. BRP molds was the first who cut this design which was first drawn up by 45 2.1. It is explained as a Keith bottom end with a LFN style nose. Very accurate design and I highly recommend it. I even used it with the large hollow point for the 45 acp.

Great design: That boolit in the 150gr. .360 version is without a doubt the most accurate boolit that I've shot out of my four 357's. Too bad BRP is out of business and nobody offers it anymore.

Bye the way Rob, Your Red Ten lube is the best rifle lube that I have ever used.

I apologize if i have hijacked your thread.

    Thanks guys.

Robs- Do you have any range report or loads that worked well with this bullet. I like shooting Unique, H110, 2400 in my .45 Colt. I also have a .454 Casull levergun it might get used in.

Also seeing some pictures of this bullet loaded and as cast would be awesome.

NOE makes this mold now or very close to the BRP. Kirk, thanks for the update to the bullet lube.

    Brp

Rob, the mold that NOE makes is not the same. 45.21? who designed the mold, adamantly refuses to allow Al Nelson of NOE to reproduce it and Al is enough of a gentleman not to make an issue of it.
Really burns me. It is such a great design that, if it were me, I'd be proud and flattered to see my creation being made, used, and appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I have also been eyeballing the MP 45 Ruger only PB HP. I like the look of this one as well but thinking the first one I posted maybe better for use in the lever guns. What do you guys think?

Nose length will be the determining factor for a lever action. Also to consider is the action of the rifle. The .450" crimp to meplat on the Mihec Ruger only 45 caliber design will likely be too long. I found .380" to be about the longest I could go in a 92 action rifle.
