Lately Kiera and I have been working on a couple of projects.
First off I taught her how to sew using her grandmother's sewing machine. I have done a lot of sewing in the past and made period costumes for MLer shoots. She decided she wanted to make a satchel so we went to the local craft store and bought some fabric, drew up a pattern and made it happen. The bag has two internal pockets, one with a zipper.
This is now her 'go to' bag.
Then this evening we finished a unit for her closet to hold her shoes and some garments. The 1/2 inch ply I scored free from work. I did the sawing and she did the measuring, marking, drilling, screwing etc.
The unit still has to be sanded and finished in some fashion but we are very happy.
