    Accurate mold turnaround

Been a while since I ordered from Accurate. Always been pleased with the experience, but I placed an order late at night on Dec 21... and it showed up today, Dec 27th! How's that for turnaround! Looks great too.

I think the instructions were something about how "I want to feel regret every time I pull the trigger". With a 700 gr S&W 500 I think I am well on my way to that goal.

I had a similar experience with Tom at Accurate. Quoted 3-4 weeks on website -- showed up 8 days later. Great folks.

I got my last one just one day short of the quoted 3 weeks, but that was after it crossed America, crossed the pacific, crossed Australia, and landed here in Perth.
All 4 cavities cast to less than 1 thou difference, and the biggest part of that difference could well be me. I weighed the first several hundred individually and all were within 178.5gr - 179.5gr.

Looks good for a first casting session. Pictured next to a 357 case. Did about 50, to be honest I don't see myself shooting a whole lot of this bullet. I just wanted to have it.

Suspect it will have quite the impact on your target....and lead supply. My latest mould from Tom arrived within a week. Dunno how he did it, awesome mould to boot!

Same very recent experience here, less than a week ago. Showed up in 5 days from order, including a weekend. As with dh2 I have several of his molds and no doubt will own more.

Did you get a strongly worded warning letter with that mold? Maybe a liability disclosure for carpel tunnel?

That is one BIG BOY bullet, I think you are on the right track that you may make many more than you shoot, then again, some of my harder hitting pistols I prefer to shoot the very heavy slugs at the lower velocity rather than the slap of the high velocity light slugs.

I think it is likely to have stabilization issues at low velocities but we will see. You are right, though. It is unlikely there is anyone out there who would be able to pull the trigger on many of these. I just enjoy stranger or more unusual designs. This will get trotted out to "show off" on occasion more than anything else.
