30 cal 125gn gas check mold for 30-30 encore pistol?

I have a 30-30 AI pistol barrel for my encore. what I am wanting to do is to find a mold that will drop in that 125gn weight with a gas check that will have good ballistics and work well on deer out to 150-200 yards. Everyone talks about the nosler 125bt but I am wanting to go cast. I have looked at the very pointy bullet molds made by noe for the 7.62x39 but have not heard great info about performance. What are your thoughts?

I don't think that a 125gr is best for cast. I would look at a heavier bullet to keep the velocity down.

I know this is not what you're asking for but just some food for thought. I'm not sure a light pointed boolet is your best bet for deer.

A 150 grain flat nosed boolit would be a much better choice for you in my opinion. The RCBS 30-150 FN or the LEE C30-150FN will shoot with accuracy and authority at 150-200 yards.

With my 10" Contender and 340 Savage in 30-30, the best bullet for accuracy and hunting has been the RCBS 150. YMMV

NOE 311008, BUT, as has been said, a little more weight will help retain KE farther down range.

Remember, you're at a disadvantage with a short barreled firearm (lower velocity) a lighter than normal boolit will give you another disadvantage, loss of momentum and power.
I'd use no less than a 170 gr. boolit for myself if I were trying for a deer over 100 yards.
