    Browning M4 37mm autocannon Blueprints

Hello All, I am looking to buy a complete copy of the blueprints for the Browning m4 37mm autocannon, as used in the p-39 aircobra as well as pt-boats in WWII. Any copies, or leads appreciated.

If you live anywhere near College Park, Maryland you might be able to find them at the National Archives. The only problem is that there really isn't any way for you to find out which record it would be in until you've already gone through it. For example, one items title is "Construction and Design Drawings of Guns, Rocket Launchers, and Related Equipment , 1886 - ca. 1959" which includes 11000 drawings. Some records I've bookmarked are described by how many feet of records their are in boxes. In some rare cases there will be a record specific to one design, such as the M3 Lee and French 75.

If you don't live near Maryland, there are people you can hire to do the research (https://www.archives.gov/research/hire-help), but they generally charge by the hour. And even if they know exactly which record to pull, you're looking at 2 hours before the archivists will even get the records to them plus the time it takes to photograph each drawing.
