    Looks like a 9mm after being fired in a 40 S&W.

Bet there was some gas escaping from the chamber on both of those examples.
    Keep your powder dry,

.351WSL has a base diameter of .377". .357 magnum has a base diameter of .379". So, .002" difference in brass size is not going to cause bulging like that. Either you misread the headstamp, or you made the assumption that it was fired in a .357 magnum chamber. Also, .357 magnum is 1.29" case length, while 351WSL is 1.375 case length. I'm not sure it would even chamber unless the chamber was cut sloppily, was forced into the leade, or the case was trimmed short. Maybe the case was a .32WSL with a base diameter of .349"?

Headstamp is clear 351 win ..
now I assumed it was fired in a 357 as it was in the batch of 357 I was sorting thru and was the only odd case in the batch of nearly 1500 357 mags ..
measuring with a caliper it measures 1.357 in length
    very strange indeed
in any case it was fired in something it was not supposed to be in ..

you make 351's from 357 max's someone could have tried to take it back the other way.
loaded ammo would cost about the same.
