    Starline brass

I've been getting my new brass for 45-70 and 45 Colt from Amazon for quite some time. Looks like they quit selling it now. Anyone else notice that?

I'll get them direct. Must be something new. Just wanted to use a Father's day gift certificate from one of my daughters. Guess Amazon is going the way of "politcally corectness"

On March 12th, 2016, Amazon announced that they will no longer support the sale of Ammunition Casings (reloading brass) and they are now actively removing all listings from their inventory.* Their new Prohibited Items Policy states:* Amazon policy prohibits the listing or sale on Amazon of ammunition casings, including casings for rifle, pistol, or shotgun ammunition.

Screw em' ! The price is probably the same directly from Starline. Good luck.

If you don't want to buy in big lots from Starline, several retailers carry Starline cases in smaller lots, including MidwayUSA.

There are vendors and banner sponsors here that sell starline brass cheaper than going directly to starline (unless you buy large quantities)...So look to the banners or vendor sponsor page for your starline brass.

    Ive bought .44 mag, 45-70, 9mm, .357, .38 spcl. from starline.

Have only had one bad batch. The .44 mag breaks in half after two loads of middle of the road 2400 loadings. Pain picking it out of my marlin.

Starline is good brass and even better when annealed. It is all I use in my 45-70's. The Cabela's in my area keeps a good stock of Starline brass and I may try it in a couple of handgun calibers at some point (to date, I only reload rifle calibers although I have dies for my handguns).

Which ones? I have never seen a retailer sell cheaper than direct from Starline. You do have to buy larger quantities but it's part of the reason it's cheaper.

I only need a few hundred of each cartridge so I generally buy my Starline cases from Buffalo Arms, Midway or Track of the Wolf. All three have earned my business over the years. Nice thing about BACO is that they'll sell you one, 12, 27, 50, 100, 500 or more. Some Starline cases I load only get run once a year, sometimes not that often. Dave understands this and keeps a fair bit of Starline brass on hand year-round.

    define larger quantities ?
I generally buy in lots of 500 or 1000

anyway, today Starline's website has 357 Mag for $80 per 500
    https://www.starlinebrass.com/brass-...357-Mag-Brass/

Our banner vendor Monmouth has the same for $69.01

    Starline brass

Well their site won't let me attempt to order anything. It keeps emptying my cart when I go to view it. I'm assuming their price is plus shipping. So that's $12 for a MFRB on top of $69 which makes it more than Starline. Remember that Starline prices include shipping. It's really hard to beat their prices which was my point.

If Monmouth's price includes shipping that's a great deal. If I didn't have a couple thousand already I would buy more just because

    dragon813gt,
I specifically used the 357 as an example, as I received a shipment of 500 from monmouth within the last 6 months. I seem to recall the total with shipping was less than $80, I believe they arrived in a padded envelope, but I could be wrong? Either way, it was within the price of a cup of coffee. I recall another vendor having a sale in S&S for less than $80 shipped...of course that was offered for a limited time only.

I bit the bullet with Starline and order the 500 case pacs. The price is only going up as metals become more expensive and harder to find. You can go to the secondary market and get mixed cases.
