    .308 30.06 mould

    Good morning

I want to add a mould to my short list. Looking for a bullet that will fit .308 win and 30.06. In the 180gr range.

    NOE or Accurate.

    All suggestion welcome.

The RCBS 30-180SP is a good canidate or if you would go a little heavier I would recommend the 311299/312299 from NOE. The NOE 311-175FN (SAECO 315 clone) also works well.

The NOE 311-195 FN works very well for me. That and A5744 is all you need.
Hopelessly afflicted with a life long addiction to the rifled bore!

Two things always make me smile, powder smoke wafting down the firing line and the ring of a Garand clip hitting the ground.

The RCBS 30-180 SP already mentioned is indeed a good one. So is the RCBS 30-180 FN (about 190-195 grs. in wheelweight). The SAECO #315 is another capable of good accuracy. I've used all these extensively for years, but my favorite for the last few years in the .308, .30-40 Krag, and .30-06 has been cast of wheelweight alloy from Lyman's #314299 ( about 205 grs.) and sized to .311".

However, the #314299 bullet base will extend below the case neck, at least in the in the .308. I've never found this to be the detriment some claim it to be. Accuracy has been excellent in several rifles.

I'm unfamiliar with NOE products, but sounds as if they make good moulds.
