    rcbs lam2 handle threads

    i am wanting to change the handle on my rcbs lam2. does anybody know the thread size of handle? looks like its around 1/2" but fine threads.

    Can't help you with thread size but you might consider installing a ball on your present handle. Mine's about a 2" er that I just drilled the hole in and epoxied on. They've also been put on a couple of my presses with complete satisfaction.

    1/2 x 24. This is American National Fine, so taps & dies are easily available.

    Catshooter, You sure about that ½-24 thread pitch, or is it a typo? Reason I ask is ½-20 is the usual fine thread pitch.

    I don't have a LAM 2, and my LAM is buried right now, but an awful lot of older reloading presses used ½-20 threads for handle attachment. Two that come immediately to mind are the RCBS JR2 and the Pacific Super C press.

    I brought the handle to work with me and went to machine shop. They checked it and said 1/2-20 thread.
