No, not chemical, it's the real deal! To my knowledge there are only 5 of these. The man I bought it from makes his living doing CCH.

So was the Henry from the factory with CCH or send out?

Ive had Turnbull do some CCH on an 1886 and it is gorgeous.

Factory sent the actions to this guy ,he did the CCH, shipped the actions back to Henry, they assembled them and shipped them back to the guy I bought from, it was not Doug Turnbull.

    Thanks Ronnie.

The CCH is gorgeous. I have a 4 digit OMBH (unadulterated) with a brass frame I've been thinking about getting CCH and making into a BBQ gun.

That OM 41 posted above is going to Alan Harton for a few items,
4" octagon bbl, steel grip frame, OM SBH hammer CCH, belt mountain base pin, and hopefully some ivory stocks.

Henry Big Boy Steel .41 Magnum revisited

I decided to take the Henry out last weekend to plink steel from 50 yards. The only plinking ammo I had loaded up was my standard Lyman 410459 220gr SWC over 8.1gr of Unique which had not performed very well in the Henry earlier. After I was clanging the steel with ease offhand I decided to try some groups from the bench. Each successive 9 shot group got a little smaller, and now is getting to what I was expecting for accuracy from the Henry. Maybe the bore and/or shooter is finally getting "seasoned"?

Nice looking group. I ended up using mine last year to harvest a small doe at about 75 yards. I was using a 235gr WFN with 4227.
