Congrats. I also didn't have to try for very long to seal the deal. Heck, I even got one past the birth control. Get used to the mood swings. It will all be worth it when you get to hold the little one for the first time.

Mine is 37 now and still a "Daddy's Girl". Taught her to shoot when she was 9. Paying for her carry permit in two months when she graduates from nursing school. I still remember when the wife told me and the best memory is when I got to feed her the first bottle in the hospital. That leaves no emotion unturned in your heart. Love the wife and love that child. There is no greater blessing to a marrige than a child.

I heard someone say once, raising children is like being pecked to death by a chicken.I raised 3,2 son's and a daughter. All 3 have served in the military(Army).

I have a grandson and granddaughter...I don't mind starting over.Just remember..today they are little...tomorrow they are grown.Enjoy them, teach them, don't chastise them when they ask questions. That's how they learn.

It's been over 50 years since I got that news, and I remember it just like today. It's the first day of the rest of your life. Enjoy every second of it.

+1 on mood swings. try to remember it is not her fault, and roll with the punches. Love those babies while you can, they grow before you know it.

Children are one of God's great blessings.

Just one thing that you need to remember, grandchildren are God's gift for not drowning your children when they so desperately needed to be drowned! This may make no sense to you right now, but believe me, you will understand in about 20 years!!

Congrats man!! We have 2, a 2 year old girl and a 4 month old boy. They are awesome. It is a roller coaster, trying, and all about you giving all of you for them. But man is it worth it when that little one meets you at the door and says "Hi Papa, come in!" melts your manly heart!
For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8,9

    Congratulations !
    A few things :
1.) get in as much shooting time as you can. After The Baby comes , you will not have the time or energy . The Baby will consume all time , energy and life force you have .
2.) Get in all the sleeping late time you can....you wont sleep late again until they go off to college or get married. Trust me on this !
3.) Children are the best things in the world, don't overthink raising them. Spend all the time you can while they're young and give them unconditional love. Don't spoil them.

Congrats! Enjoy every minute of it. When they are waking up multiple times a night it seems like it will never end, then you blink and they are in college!

When guns are outlawed only criminals and the government will have them and at that time I will see very little difference in either!
