    Can't Identify These

My father was into casting boolits back in the '50s when I was a teenager. I still have many of his castings that have been sized and lubed. Would these be OK to load now? Also, I found a few pieces of what appears to be lead. I am attaching a photo and would ask if anyone could identify these. I don't know if they would affect casting by mixing with wheel weights. I don't know how to enlarge the photo. These are about 3/8" dia. x 1/2" high cylinders. It appears one was hardness tested by the indentation. They all have that shallow slot.

    Thanks,

Possibly lead slugs for a swaging press.

I believe they are weights from piano keys. I have melted a couple thousand of them.

I was given a bucket of slugs like that years ago.
They were about the same hardness as wheel weights.
    They cast beautiful bullets....dale
