Finished sizing lubing and gas checking about 1200 boolits for the 458 socom. That star sizer sure saves a lot of time.
I "field tested" my 30-06 loads on an unlucky 8pt whitetail.
DRT-Dead Right There...like didn't move out of his tracks-like sack of potatoes plop.
Load is a 30-06 with 165 Nosler ballistic tip. Wickedly nasty at 160-170 yds.
Totally destroyed shoulder/neck junction box, heart and lungs were jelly, and good punch through.
I've got to make some more of these!!!!!!
Finished reloading ammo for the girlfriend (380acp) then convered the 650 (first time changing over the new press) to 357mag. Only took about 15mins taking my time and looking everything over. Ran out my plated bullets I had on hand (about 130). Then rolled right into 158gr cast boolits, loaded up 100 and called it good.
"Life isn't like a box of chocolates...It's more like
a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn
your ass tomorrow."
I loaded some heavyweight 9mm cartridges while I waited for my lead pot to heat up. Then I cast 200 NOE 358-155-TC for the 9mm, 100 Lyman 358156 for the 357, and 100 NOE 358477 hp for the 38.
I then sized and lubed all the boolits I just finished casting.
Tough day at work; came home and sized about 300 boolits thru my Lee sizers. Much better now. Tomorrow I'll HT some and tumble lube some others.

Took some measurement as I'm building a second reloading room. It's to cold in the garage to do any work. I'm building a simple bench in my basement just for reloading. Will most likely permanently mount the 550 to it. This way I can crank out a summers worth of ammo during the cold months.
Built this small bench in my basement today.
Put the first coat of wood putty in the holes tonight. Will sand and apply a second coat tomorrow. Then it's on to staining the top and back piece. Overkill but I like a dark sealed top.
Ignore the green stucco that's crumbling. I swear the previous homeowner was color blind. And they had no clue what they were doing. There is no way to stop water from seeping through a 116yo stone foundation. It was doomed from the start. And one day I will remove the oil tank. Have no desire to cut a hole in it to clean it out so the yard will take it.

Ran about 100 45 cases in the SS PIN WASH. Should have bought this setup long ago. Also played around setting dies for a run of 9 mm with Berrys bullets and Unique on LLM. WILL do those tonite.

I bought another round of Home Depot heavy duty bins / tubs and a furniture dolly to make another 6 feet tall portable storage bin. The first one worked so well, I thought I would double my storage space available.

loaded up a mason jar full of 380 acp and a dozen 45 and 9mm to test powder loads in.
Loaded 50 30-06 for my 03 - I like the 311299/IMR-3031 to about 1800fps. My next project is my basement casting station...I just have to figure out the venting.
Started sorting all the shotgun hulls I have collected over the years. Going to try my hand at reloading for the scatter gun!
I finally got around to casting 200 - 500 S&W RNFP bullets this morning. Man those big bullets can empty the pot quick.
Prepped 100 30-06 case ready to load and prepped 100 9mm case ready to load for the two new projects I have undertaken.
Put two coats of stain on the new bench. Apparently the house now stinks. I don't smell it outside of the basement. If she thinks the stain smells bad just wait until the polyurethane tomorrow
Ahh, the sweet smell of polyurethane........
I melted down all the .357s that I'd cast and coated with wax lube. I wasn't going to take a chance that the Hi-Tek coating might not stick because of any wax still remaining after trying to clean them. All that work.......oh well, more casting I guess.
