Loaded my very first shot shell with my first cast Lee one ounce slug.
Sized, trimmed, and primed .30-06 brass.
Just got done casting a few hundred tl356-124-tc for 9mm, tl358-158-swc for 38 spec and 357mag, and lyman 311252 for 32acp
Cleaned sorted and straightened things up. Through away some stuff I forgot why I was saving.

Just thought I would mention that OB's recommendation for the smaller RCBS rotor in my powder measure fixed my issues completely, everything is working fine now.
Thank You!
Also, along with my new Rotor from Midway, I got a .257 Roberts (Lee) case trimmer and trimmed up about 100+ rounds of sized ammo, ran it though the tumbler and separated it. I will be loading that up today.

Replenished my stock of powder, I had used all of my Red Dot fire forming .577 and 7.7x58 cases and my LGS finally got some after a long dry spell. I am going right now to load some test rounds in 350 grain for my Trapdoor.
Loaded a batch of 44-40 for my repro Spencer carbine.

I cleaned 20 gallons of 5.56 brass today.
First 5 gallons was done with stainless steel pins, boiling water, a squirt of Dawn and some citric acid. The next three loads of 5 gallons each was done with just garden hose water, Dawn & citric acid and I left the pins out. The first batch got the least amount of time but also generated the darkest wastewater. That water was dark brown and much dirtier than the others were.
But, all four batches came out really nice which surprised me. I'm thinking I want to clean without stainless pins - saves me a major pain of separating them out later.
I've got them on the drying table with a fan pointed at them.
The first 5 gallons during a rinse.
Super dark brown water from first rinse vs final rinse
Brass on the drying table. If you look carefully, you can tell the brass on the left is dirty and the right is clean. The light isn't great in the garage, even with the main door open.

FIRST ANNEALING AND CONVERSION
Today I annealed 75- 30/06 brass and formed it to 8 X 57 with a Redding file and trim die. I damaged a couple of case mouths before I figured out how to straighten them while still in the f/t die. I just used the RCBS sizing lube, didn't experience any problems. It is a time consuming process, but it is LC brass and will last a long time with modest cast loads.

Installed a FO front sight and an ambi-safety on a Stainless Kimber Target II in 9mm. The gun is a matte finish and the Ed Brown safeties are polished. Carpet has to match the drapes, so I polished a Wilson Bullet Proof Slide Stop to replace the stock MIM part at the same time. Now the polished safety doesn't look so out of place. Used the time wisely and tumbled some .45 Colt brass, warmed up the heater under my Star and ended the afternoon sizing a load of 356 120 TCs.
