    Harbor Freight spare parts

ARGGGGHHH so frustrating. I purchased an HF powder coater and when I threw out the styrofoam packaging I forgot to take the powder cups out.

So I'm without powder cups. Anyone know how they are at ordering replacement parts or where replacements can be found?

I use the ones that came with it, but the containers that the powder comes in from HF look the same to me. Anyone tried to screw them on the gun?

Don't the bottles that the powder come in fit?

That was the first thing I tried. The container their powder comes in is slightly smaller and does not screw on.

I guess in the meantime I will have to learn to tumble it...or end up buying another gun from HF. Dang it.

Do a search on here for replacement bottles and you will find that they are available elsewhere.

In an emergency, wrap two or three layers of electrical tape around the threads of the smaller bottles. It is a PITA because then the lids won't fit, but it works if you don't shake the gun too hard while in use.

Thank you for those ideas. I ordered from Caswell. If all else fails I would tape it. The HF customer service actually advised me to go back to the HF and say they weren't included and get another one but that doesn't sit well with me. I like this way better...

I have not tried this but I was thinking of switching the (lid) on the gun to one of the bottle lids. Have not check but looks like its a single screw and some cutting on the lid and your good to go. But I have not check it out yet.
