Thank you to all the contributors to the forum who have remained focused when discussing cast in the 6.5mm rifles. I wanted to show some results that have given me some confidence that with a little more effort I can humanely hunt with this rifle out to 200 yards.
The rifle is an o/u combination it has a 12 gauge top barrel and a 6.5x57R bottom. The data I have been using is for the Swede.
I had some private dialogue with Larry and Andy in Australia and gleaned a lot of understanding from the back catalogue here.
Today I shot 5x 5 shot groups with the NOE Kurtz design Air cooled ww/pb 50:50 with tin. Range was 30 double paces approx 55 yards.
The powder is ADI 2206H same as your H4895. Does anybody with a computer programme or chronograph have an idea what the velocity might be at the muzzle?
