    Sadly, it was announced that Avro Vulcan XH558 is going to be taken from the skies at last. The end of the end of an era, truly.

    I was stationed at Harmon AFB in Newfoundland 64-65 and worked in Transient Maintenance. We had Vulcans come in a couple times during my time up there and I did manage to get up in the cockpit to look around. Neat looking aircraft.
