I've been meaning to get a 50bmg upper for a special AR build but that hasn't happened yet. I have a 357 desert eagle so eventually I'll get a conversion kit to 50 AE. I might be getting a 50-70 soon

I don't know if a smoke pole counts, but I've got one of those in 50 caliber. I also have a 50 Beowulf that is an absolute beast.. I love shooting that thing

500/375 wildcat shoots .501 bullets but haven't found the perfect bullet yet. Am considering cast to get what I want. Though not sure what that is exactly. Something a little more aerodynamic then S&W bullets. Would like to see no more then 20" drop @300 yards from a 400gr +- projectile.

375 Barnes XPB's are close but I haven't been able to push them as fast as I'd hoped. Wish they had a banded version. Can get 350gr XTP's up to 2490-2500 fps easily but they have the bc of a brick and no integrity at that speed.

Safari loads are no problem. Just like to get a little more out of it yardage wise.

That 510 has to be a bone crusher on both ends!

Up here in Alaska I hunt with a Winchester 1886 in 50 Express. It's not an original, but a conversion done by Turnbull.

I shot the M107 Barrett a bit in the service and found it to be quite a beast, particularly to carry.

The only 50 cal rifle that I shoot now is a Model 1870 Trapdoor Springfield in 50/70 so I don't know a thing about the 50 Baby Wolf. I'll have to Google it.

Mine is a .50 Lyman GPR flintlock. I got tired of carrying the Barrett 82A1, even if we did take turns.
I passed my last psych eval, how bout you?

love mine. It puts those big 50s into moa at a 100 yards and accounted for an 8 pointer last year. Sorry guys but it was shot with a rainier flat nose plated bullet.

OK, sorry I didnt see this sooner, got a PM that woke me up, and I responded to William. The BabyWoof is my own derivative of the 50AE in an AR platform. LOtsa brass and a lousy experience/opinion of the Delphon upper that I acquired stimulated a better build project. Worked out well, and I just about finished the last modification that I deemed necessary.

I have a Rimmed RUM .500 cal. 1.8"s long on a Ruger #3. It will shoot the RUM cases, 50 AK, 50-110s, or 348s.
My summer varmint load shoots a copper plated 335 at 1850 fps. out of a 22" bbl.

    I shoot a 74 Shiloh Sharps in .50/90 .
    I load a Lyman 500 gr bullet with 100grs of 1F.
It is very accurate at 100 yds.
I have not tried it at 200 yet.

My .50/90 Sharps, and my Gibson Custom Shop '59 335 are my two favorite possessions in the world.

My dream would be to go to Africa and kill a Cape Buffalo with that rifle.

I no longer have to money to fulfill that dream.

I love the .405 win equally as well, but my .50/90 Sharps is a custom built rifle to my specifications.

It is always exciting to shoot the Big Fifty..Always..

My sons friend bought a 50 Barrett in the 50 BMG caliber. To take the recoil the gun weighed over 30 pounds. They made a soft point for the rifle and took it deer hunting and shot a nice doe with the rifle. The bullet blew a hold in the off side about the size of a football according to the user. Videoed the experience and posted it on You-Tube. Funny thing was that the deer ran about 70 yards after being hit. Always use this example when I see these arguements about large caliber advantage for deer as that is about as big as they can get. He claims he still gets comments on that video.
50 cals were made illegal in some Western states as not being "Fair chase". Would have to mount that rifle to carry it any distance as it was very heavy.
