Longshot for a 44 mag, using a Lee Loader to pound them all together.

HP38 into a 38spl case. Spring of 1997. It was for a very cheap Heritage Arms snubby. It was a gift and it lasted a me a whole 4 years before the barrel unscrewed itself.

The very "first" powder I ever dropped was DuPont FFFG Black Powder . . . back when it was 75 cents a pound! What can I say? I'm old! I still have the can somewhere with the 75 cent price marked on it in black grease pencil. At the same time, I could buy a tin of Remington percussion caps for 25 cents a tin of 100.

The first smokeless I ever dropped was Bulls Eye - my favorite - in 38 Special.

It was DuPont Hi-Skor 700X in a 8oz can while I was stationed in Germany in 82/83, for both 9MM and 45ACP. I soon learned to translate German and was using Rottweiler powders, as DuPont were the only American powders I could find at the time.

i started with cast loads with Unique in a Ruger 45 about 20 years ago. But I reloaded 6.5X55 with H380 then switched to Re 22 about 25 years ago.
