    Mosin Bubba

Well, picked this 42 tula up yesterday, been wanting a sporter and the guy needed the money, sooo. Actually, not a bad job, havent shot it yet though. I'm not really into the whole "sniper" thing that seems to be so much the rage lately, but a bargain is a bargain. Trigger is real nice. Click image for larger version.

]Why does anyone need an assault rifle? My first need is articulated in the US v Miller 1939 decision: every citizen eligible for volunteer or conscript military service, every member of the unorganized militia, should be familiar with his nation's military service rifle, and the service rifles of potential allies and foes as well, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

I thought hacksaw and hammer work were required to make a true "bubba". That looks like a nice "sporter".

Let know how she shoots,,its often surprising how accurate an old "junk" warhorse can be. If ya don't like it maybe we can work out a swap of some kind. If that's a threaded muzzle break and not pined or welded a can on a nagant is a great feral pig/ pest remover and the reduction in noise often allows more than one shot before the critters head to the next county.

Try it, might be a tack driver. If the bore and muzzle are good it can be tuned.

That looks to be a nice rifle.
I have a 1952 M44 that I sporterized. Is shoots some very impressive groups with jacketed bullets. So far it really like the Hornaday 150 grain .312 spire poiint. Then, it also really likes a 200 grain 8mm (jacketed) round nose size to .3127.
Let us know how she shoots.

Supposed to be nice today and Im caught up temporarily on my work, so gonna give her a test run. All I have is light ball ammo right now, need to get some brass. Nagantguy, he did tack weld the brake, and you can't see it in the pic but he used a mauser bolt handle for the clearance.

I guess you could say I bubba'ed mine also. Trimmed the wood off of the barrel and removed the rear iron sight to mount a scout scope.
    Some Mosins are great shooters.
