    PID question

I built my PID with a SYL 2352 controller. When's the best time to hit auto-tune?

Bring your lead pot up to temperature and let it stabilize. Then do an auto-tune before adding anything else or beginning casting. -Ed

Don't know if it's the best time but I start auto tune a few degrees below set temperature. It has to bob back and forth about 3 times anyway.
