Questions about casting with MP 358 395

Cast the MP 358 395 HBWC today for the first time. Used 1/2 WW and 1/2shower liner at 730, the mold worked well with all bullets falling off the pins but the bullets had wrinkles.
Upped the temp to 760 and the wrinkles diminished but started to see some frosting.
Wondering what others have experienced with this mold.
I'm guessing I my need to clean again or add some tin.

I have the .44 version. With my alloy I see minor frosting to get good fill out. I mainly use range scrap and add minimal extra tin. Some frosting really doesn't mean anything when it comes to shooting good.

You want to have clean wrinkle free finish, a little frosting is OK.

If your not using a hot plate I will suggest you get one. I set my coil exposed Hot Plate to just under medium and set the mold on it as soon as I turn on the pot.

Bottom down flat give the pins a chance to heat up, you may try dipping the sprue plate to heat it up but it really sounds like you need to clean the mold itself.

Hot water an old tooth brush and some Dawn work wonders.

Mold is heated to350 on a hot plate. Didn't have Dawn so I used Ajax grease cutter with lemon, figured what residue was left would burn off. Will use carb cleaner and try again.
    Thanks

Cast last night with no problems after using carb cleaner on the mold. Guess it's Dawn or nothing!
