Looking for Data for the 35 Remington

A friend gave me some of his cast bullets to try in my .35. I found data for the 205 grain in the Lyman manual but have yet to find anything for 225 grain cast-GC or 232 grain with gas check. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a manual with 220 gr J loads that will get you started, Lyman maybe. I'll look and post later.
You can also use searvh on this forum for some disscussion on NOE 360-230. Some folks like 3031 with it I think.
Below is from Speer #6 1964 vintage data, I think the Lee book has some recent data for his bullet.

This load was plenty safe in MY rifle, but you know how that goes.. I have a Marlin 336, and shoot a NOE clone of the RCBS 35-200 RF. Mines casts at 220 grains out of 50-50 WW/Pb alloy, air cooled, Bhn 10. I load it with 30.0 grains of H-4198 in R-P brass and a standard primer. Velocity is 2,150 fps., which exceeds factory 200 gr. jacketed velocity. Accuracy is sub 1"at 50 yards with iron sights.

My barrel has been firelapped, and does not lead at all.

Thanks fellas, that will get me started. I'm loading for a well used but not abused 1968 made 336. Only cast load I've tried so far has been the 190 grain Ranch Dog and it shot fairly well, ie, about 1.8 inches at 100 yards.

that's actually really good for a 336.
Michael knows what he is doing, when he designed his molds they were made for the marlin lever guns.

if nothing else you should be fine using the 200 gr loads with the slightly heavier cast boolits we are dealing with pressures in the 30-k range most often.
a slightly heavier boolit weight bumping it up another 2k is not a big deal.

Shot some handloads today at the club range. 205 grain cast w/GC, .360", SR4759, 16.5/17.0/17.5.18.0/18.5 grains. Temp- 42 degrees, Humidity- 69%, light variable wind. All testing was at 75 yards with 3 round groups, COAL: 2.310".

16.5 grains - 1324fps, SD-17, ES-32, grouped in a dismal 3.200" and was 12" below POA.

17.0 grains- 1311fps, SD-14, ES-29, grouped 1.887".

17.5 grains- 1424fps, SD-58, ES-111(?), grouped 1.815" with two rounds in .112".

18.0 grains- 1425fps, SD-34, ES-68, grouped 1.209".

18.5 grains- 1481fps, SD-20, ES-39, grouped 1.676" with two in .113".

I know I can get better accuracy by upping the velocity quite a bit w/o leading due to the gas check. This is my first time using SR4759 as it hasn't been available in my area for about two years now. I was shocked to find it and Reloader 7 on the shelf!
