    Ruger 44 carbine disassembly help

I made a dumb mistake. I was replacing the safety in my 44 carbine with a Williams Big Head L/H replacement. Instructions call for turning the existing safety 1/4 turn and pressing out with the replacement. Exchange made. I've done it before years ago.

Well, I must have over rotated the safety because it pushed out half way and it locked up on the plunger. The safety is stuck; the trigger is held in safe mode. I removed the trigger assembly but I need help in either unblocking the safety or releasing the safety pin.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    .

I would solidly support the triggerguard and drive the CBS out.
