    Wickliffe?

    A friend came across this unfinished receiver. A search seems to indicate it is a Wickliffe. Yes? No?

    It appears to be threaded 1" - 20 tpi. No markings at all.

    Looks like the Wickliffe to me. I just looked up Wickliffe rifles in modern gun values and the rifle they show has that action.

    Yes, that is a Wickliffe-I have one identical to it with all the parts to finish it.
